Vijay Antony offers song to a young poet

Music Director Vijay Antony, who has rocked Tamil Nadu with his peppy numbers which have earned him a fav music director status in every nook and corner of the State, has turned his attention to acting too. He makes a debut as a hero in the film Naan.

Vijay Antony Film Corporation and AVR Talkies Private Limited are jointly producing the film Naan. Jeeva Shankar, besides directing the film, is handling the story, screenplay, dialogue and cinematography of the film. Jeeva Shankar had worked with late cinematographer-director Jeeva in several films. Jeeva Shankar is also Vijay Antony’s college mate.

The story is about a youth who is treated unkindly by fate. He comes across crisis after crisis even after he comes to Chennai in search of a new life. He acquires a new friend and takes several steps forward but faces a problem again. How does he face this challenge? The film revolves around this situation.

Vijay Antony has also taken up music direction of the film.

Siddharth, who made his debut in Anandha Thaandavam, is the other hero of the film Naan. Roopa Manjari, who played the lead role in Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru, is the heroine of this film which also has Anuya and Vibha in the cast

Shooting for the film Naan has been completed. Experts from abroad in the area of music and technology are being brought to Chennai to give a new feel to the film’s music.

In a move that is unique in the film industry, Vijay Antony has offered a song to a young lyricist who is waiting for an opportunity to write for films.

Vijay Antony has composed a song in thathakaaram format (la la la) which is normally used by music directors for lyricists to write the song based on the tune.
